The annual Power of Speech event, generously sponsored by Cochlear, is held at Parliament House in Canberra.
Power of Speech challenges the common perceptions of what a deaf child can achieve and celebrates the gift of speech and sound.
This public speaking event showcases twelve amazing children from Australia and New Zealand aged between 6 and 12 years old, with Cochlear Implants and who attended their local First Voice Centre’s Early Intervention program.
This extraordinary group will show great confidence and ability as they address over 100 guests on a topic of their choice between 2-3 minutes.
