On Sunday August 10th 2014 over 81,000 runners took part in the City2Surf.
A small but determined group of 30 chose to run in support of The Shepherd Centre. Inspired by the amazing outcomes The Shepherd Centre achieves, the group raised over $18,500.
One of our runners was Ben whose daughter, Charlie, was diagnosed at birth with severe to profound bilateral hearing loss. His family now attends The Shepherd Centre for ongoing education on her hearing loss where they meet with speech therapists, audiologists, family counsellors and other staff who provide the best possible opportunity for Charlie to meet her full potential.
If you would like to make a donation in support of Ben and Charlie, you are still able to do so by clicking here.
A big thank you to all those who ran and to all those who donated! Without this support we could not continue providing life-changing Early Intervention therapy to children with hearing loss.
