Jenna graduated from a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Honours from Flinders University in 2009 when she then worked in early intervention in Mildura with children and families with a range of disabilities. After moving back to her hometown of Adelaide she began working with children with sensory impairment (vision and hearing) and developed a strong interest in how children with hearing loss develop listening and spoken language skills. Jenna moved to Canberra at the start of 2013 and started work with The Shepherd Centre which she says is her ‘dream job’. At The Shepherd Centre she has undertaken many different roles over the past three years while focusing on growth and development of the Canberra centre. Jenna is currently the Manager of Listening and Spoken Language for Canberra. Her areas of interest include supporting children and young adults to become confident conversationalists. She is also passionate about working with children to develop theory of mind and has a special interest in teaching others about hearing loss/parent guiding and coaching.
