External support services

There are a number of organisations that provide support to parents of children with hearing loss. Whereas, these are not early intervention providers, they can provide support and advice to families needing information about hearing loss and hearing loss providers. Deaf Society, provides family support including their Parent to Parent Mentoring Program Parents of Deaf Children, supports families with babies, children and teenagers with hearing loss in NSW Aussie Deaf Kids, aims to empower parents raising a child with hearing loss through online support, information and advocacy Association for Children with a Disability (ACD), whether you’re a parent, carer, sibling, family member or a professional who works with children with a disability and families, ACD can assist you to make the most of available services and supports.
