Alumni Achiever Awards 2020
UPDATE: As a result of the ever-evolving COVID-19 crisis, and in light of the government’s ban on non-essential gatherings, we have made the responsible yet difficult decision to cancel our 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner & Alumni Achiever Awards on May 23, 2020. We plan to hold the event in 2021, at a date to be confirmed. This was after considering all available options. Unfortunately, due to the unpredictable nature of this pandemic, we cannot confidently estimate a safe time to reschedule. All nominations made towards the Alumni Achievers Awards will be carried over to next year and those nominees have been notified. We are of course extremely disappointed to be cancelling this historically significant celebration for The Shepherd Centre, the health and safety of our families, our supporters and our staff ultimately remains our highest priority. We appreciate and understand that our supporters will be disappointed and saddened by this news. Our 50th Anniversary Gala & Alumni Achiever Awards were intended to be a joyous celebration for everyone who has helped make The Shepherd Centre the very special organisation it is today. The Gala & Awards had been one of our most significant fundraising opportunities for 2020, so the impact of its cancellation cannot be underestimated. In order to continue to raise the funds necessary to ensure we can continue to offer our services to our families, we need the help of our supporters now more than ever. For this reason, if you have the capacity to support The Shepherd Centre, we ask that you donate to our emergency appeal, helping ensure that all of our families can access our services online: https://the-shepherd-centre.giveeasy.org/emergency-appeal For all other enquiries about the gala, email our friendly fundraising team on: [email protected]
Following the success of the inaugural Alumni Achiever Awards in 2019, the awards return in 2020.
The awards will be presented and celebrated at The Shepherd Centre’s 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Saturday 23rd May 2020 at Doltone House, Darling Island.
To nominate yourself or a fellow alumni, please fill in the nomination form below. Nominations close on Tuesday 31st March at midnight.

Historically, we have acknowledged the achievements of our Alumni at our annual graduation ceremonies honouring a Junior and Senior graduate of the year.
As the number of Alumni connections continue to grow, we are hearing more and more amazing success stories in the classroom, workplaces and sporting fields along with personal achievements and attaining milestones that they never dreamed were possible.
