Dear Minister,

First of all thank you deeply for all the hard work you do to provide an outstanding education service for the children of NSW.

I know that for a child with hearing loss to thrive at school they need specialist support in their early years, educational support that is not funded by the NDIS. The support provided by The Shepherd Centre is critical and that support is at risk without the extra funding your Department provides.

Please ensure that children with hearing loss can continue to thrive at school – please ensure that the current $2,794 funding for each child is maintained after 30 June.

Yours sincerely,
