Workplace/payroll Giving

What is workplace/payroll giving and why should I donate this way?

Workplace/payroll giving is a simple and easy way for you to donate to The Shepherd Centre through your employer.  It’s a secure way for employees to make regular or one-off donations via your salary.   Employees who donate in this way will instantly receive the tax benefit so will not need to submit their tax deductible donation receipts with their tax return.

Workplace/payroll is a fantastic way for employers to demonstrate their dedication to corporate responsibility and commitment to supporting amazing causes like The Shepherd Centre.

To incentivize and encourage workplace/payroll giving some employers also offer a donation match scheme eg: if you give $5 per month, your donation would be doubled by your workplace and The Shepherd Centre will receive $10 each month.

How does workplace/payroll giving help support children with hearing loss?

At the Shepherd Centre we receive just a little over 30% of government funding.  All donations received through workplace/payroll giving will be go towards funding our early intervention services as well as supporting our ongoing research and development of new and life changing programs.

How do I get started?

Employees: Speak with your employer to find out if they already have a workplace/program in place.   If they do, your payroll team will be able to easily set this up for your so you can start to give in your next salary payment.

Employers:  To set up a workplace giving program for your staff we recommend that you contact one of the following providers who can assist you with setting up your program.
