2025 was a significant year for The Shepherd Centre as we continued our mission to create a world of choice for children and young people with hearing loss. We proudly supported more than 900 children and young people, and their families, providing specialist services that empower them to thrive at every stage of life.
Early intervention remains at the heart of our work, with skilled, coordinated teams helping children develop strong communication skills and access greater opportunities throughout life. In 2025, we continued to strengthen our pathway of support beyond the early years, ensuring children and young people receive the guidance they need through school transitions, adolescence and into adulthood.
We also strengthened our impact beyond our centres, bringing families’ lived experiences directly to decision makers, expanding global collaboration through HearHub and our partnership in Japan, and continuing to advocate for funding certainty so access to early intervention is shaped by need, not circumstance.
