Commitment to quality & policies

At The Shepherd Centre we are committed to maintaining the quality of our services and take an individual approach to every family that we work with. We are committed to achieving the utmost excellence in helping your child develop the best spoken language they are capable of so they can reach their full potential. As a result we, our staff, and the families we work with, commit to a number of Charters. We are also proud to have passed the National Disability Standards Audit in 2017 as a disability provider.

Each of the members of The Shepherd Centre’s Audiology Team have a Masters of Clinical Audiology, and are members of Audiology Australia. We adhere to the Audiology Australia Code of Conduct.

Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Commitment

At The Shepherd Centre, we are committed to fostering a positive and sustainable impact in all aspects of our operations. Our approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibilities reflects our values and our dedication to supporting children with hearing loss and their families.

• Environmental Responsibility We recognise the importance of environmental sustainability and are actively working to reduce our ecological footprint. This includes minimising waste through recycling initiatives, optimising energy use across our centres and exploring ways to integrate other eco-friendly practices into our daily operations.

• Social Impact The heart of our work lies in empowering children with hearing loss and their families through tailored support, education and therapy. We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring that our services are accessible to all families, regardless of their background and geography. By advocating for early intervention and equal opportunities, we strive to create a more inclusive society.

Corporate Governance We hold ourselves to the highest standards of transparency, integrity and ethical conduct. Our governance practices ensure that we operate responsibly and in the best interest of the children and families we serve. We advocate, alongside the NDIS for all of the children we are privileged to support that they have choice and control over their care programs and we are committed to advocating for the best interests of each child. This includes maintaining strong oversight by our Board of Directors and fostering accountability at all levels of the organisation.

Through our ESG efforts, we aim to continue making a lasting, positive difference in the lives of those we support while contributing to the well-being of our planet and society.
