Impact Reports

2024 was an incredible year for The Shepherd Centre as we continued our mission to create a world of choice for children, teens, and young people with hearing loss. We proudly supported 883 children, teens, and young adults, and their families, providing life-changing services that empowers them to thrive. 

We were thrilled to open a new centre in Oran Park, Western Sydney, and establish a permanent home in Hobart, along with a new centre in Launceston. These expansions ensure more families can access our world-leading early intervention model, which brings together a dedicated team of audiologists, counsellors, and listening and spoken language specialists to deliver holistic care. This approach helps children develop the skills they need for mainstream education, meaningful employment, and true inclusion in the hearing world.  

In 2024, we also expanded our services to school-aged children, formalising support beyond the early years. Our Hear For You program, led by people who are deaf, is making significant strides in empowering school-aged children and teens. These initiatives are pivotal as we continue to build a pathway of support that extends into the later stages of life.
