At The Shepherd Centre, our vision is that every child who is deaf or has hearing loss can reach their full potential. For more than 50 years, our family-centred, evidence-based programs have helped thousands of children listen, speak and thrive.
To strengthen our leadership and broaden our impact, we are inviting expressions of interest for two types of roles:
Board of Directors
We are seeking new Directors with expertise in Digital & IT, Business & Finance, and Philanthropy/Key Relationships. Board members attend approximately six Board meetings and two strategic planning sessions per year, alongside key Shepherd Centre events.
Operational Sub-Advisory Groups
We are also inviting professionals to join our Sub-Advisory Groups, which provide advice and expertise in specialised areas: Finance, People & Culture, Digital Advisory, Strategic Opportunities, Community, and Philanthropy. These groups generally meet four times per year, with additional sessions for key projects.
All positions are voluntary and unremunerated, but the rewards are profound: the chance to apply your expertise to one of Australia’s most respected charities, collaborate with inspiring leaders, and see your contribution reflected in the lives of children and families.
